Unfortunately, water damage can occur in a home or business within mere minutes causing severe damage and long periods of disruption in your everyday routine of life. The length of disruption time has been proven to be a direct result in the time it takes for a customer to react. Your reaction should be to call our offices immediately, do not wait. We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This simple call will ensure the drying process is expedited and will prevent further damage from occurring. Secondly, the customer should contact their insurance company, report their claim, and make them fully aware of the situation. Upon Professional Fire Restorations arrival, we will begin the water removal process and start dehumidification. This process is extremely important, and done for the prevention of secondary damage. Once the water
removal process is complete, our state-of-the-art drying equipment will be placed onsite and antimicrobial chemical treatment to prevent the growth of mold. Should any repairs be needed we will be able to address these needs once the drying process is complete. Thus begins the process of restoring your home into pre-claim condition. It is also our promise that throughout the process we will work closely with your insurance adjuster, and because of this, we guarantee working within your policy coverage, and therefore allows you to settle your claim in a timely manner.
Categories of water damage include:
1. Clean Water
- Broken water pipes
- A break in your toilet tank, sink or bath overflow
- Failure of appliance water lines
2. Gray Water
- Appliance overflow
- Toilet bowl overflow
- Fish tank overflow
3. Black Water
- Break in sewer line
- Toilet overflow containing fecal matter
- Ground Water
Both clean and gray water if addressed properly do not pose a health threat. Black water can pose potential health threats due to contamination with pathogenic agents.
All three categories when treated promptly and correctly result in minimal, if any, health threats. Our goal is to eliminate secondary damage, and in addition to mold and mildew growth, high humidity levels in the air can cause warping and delamination to the dwelling and/or personal property.
